This May Come as Some Surprise…

…but there are times where I can be quite productive. Take this past weekend. Pal-o-mine/Douche Extraordinaire, Mario Acevedo, showed up at my house and demanded we write a screenplay together. While there’s nothing unusual about this occurrence–and, in fact, you might be saying to yourself, ‘Damn it, Mario told me I’m the only one he’s writing a script with’–it is quite unusual to knock out a first draft in 4 days.

*shines up knuckles*

AND…I’m kinda proud of the estimated 115 page (read minute) finished product…

Here we are busting out either filthy sex, or hyper-violence, hard to tell…

And, YES, that is a copy of Lynn Chancer’s Sadomasochism in Everyday Life, thank you very much. My bookcase overfloweth with handy dandy sexuality-related texts.

So, yeah, the rumors are true. There’s gonna be an Acevedo/Henry script floating around out there. We don’t know what’s going to happen with it anymore than you do, but I’ll be sure to let you know if something exciting happens. I mean, other than Mario bashing the shit out of it in the revisions…

Which is probably happening right about now.

You know what else? I’ve got a handy printable shopping list for y’all. ‘Cause it’s Tuesday, bitches!

I went to an author book signing that had the likes of Susan Gable, Gaelen Foley, Holly Jacobs, Gwyn Cready and Madeline Hunter. Then I got to watch some redneck fun at the fair where they destroy cars for no reason other than they can at the Demo Derby :)

Wooo a M/M book…. my imagination is going wild…. LOL

This weekend I stood around a cold hockey rink watching tryouts for my son, got some groceries, and rested the remainder of the time until True Blood and Big Brother came on…. Oh yeah I read a few books, like that is anything new.
I am looking forward to the M/M book…. I need another book to take to the arena that has everyone staring at me like when I took Nymphos to watch an inline game…. LOL

Tuesday’s RULE! Gotta hit the store. I had to work all weekend. The only good thing was hanging out with the guy I dated in junior high school who I haven’t seen in 20 years (Thanks Facebook!)

Should I get one of the flats, I shall consider that a sign to get off my lazy ass (or stay seated on it for as long as it takes) and get my submissions back out… so one day *I* will have flats to give away (pay it forward, or somesuchshit)… and so *I* can appear on your shopping list for people who don’t suck. (or who do suck, but in a good way.)

    This weekend…

Friday: Went to the only theater in Madison, WI (The Sundance 608) that serves beer and watched Inglorious Basterds with my friends from Germany before they go back the end of the month.

Saturday: Took said friends from Germany, son and his girlfriend and another friend to The Bristol Ren Faire. Much food was enjoyed, a few stouts, and several shows of jugglers and jousters.

    Sunday: Slept… a lot…

    Woohoo! BOOK RELEASE DAY!!!!

The weekend was pretty laid back. My goal was to do nothing productive at all. In my mind I succeeded! I took the man cub to the park and fed ducks. We had a movie night with Pop corn not to be confused POOP corn. OK man cub he had a movie night I read Bone Crossed! I can only watch so much Dragonball. OH and my lawn mowing was done! Are serious of course I didn’t mow it ….I paid someone to mow my lawn cause I surely was not getting out there to do it. Not after the last time….long sweaty story.

Love that you left us a list handwritten on a legal pad. As a journalist (and English professor) I still love the legal pad much more then the computer. Nothing ever just magically disappears from those yellow pages. lol

Already have a cover flat but just wanted to stop by. BTW the cover flat is really really nice.

We saw Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria this weekend. For the first time ever I was disturbed by some of the characters. Ugly and creepy. Did I mention creepy? I ignored them, but yuck.

I’ve purchased all but one of the books on your list and read one of them today.

    Good luck with the screenplay!

Like Miss Allen up there, my goal for the weekend was do accomplish absolutely nothing. So Saturday, I played video games and watched movies literally all day and well into the night. Sunday, I pretty much did the same thing. It’s been quite a while since I’ve gotten to do that, so it was super enjoyable. Between the video game playing and movie watching, I also managed to read an entire trashy novel with no literary value whatsoever. Go gratuitous sex scenes!!!

Ever since meeting you for the first time, I’ve been re-inspired to get published, so I’m going to start seriously writing again. I’m not sure I can write something that will make you as excited as the books on your list, but your opinion in the future would ge greatly appreciated! Your books are great, and I’m looking forward to see what happens with your screenplay. Good luck, Mark!! So long, and thanks for all the fish! (And the inspiration!)
